Ziel: Edelgaskonfiguration

Metallbindung

  • Art der chemischen Bindung
  • zischen positiv geladenen Metall-Ionen und negativ geladenen Elektronen (Elektronengas) → sehr starke Anziehungskrkäfte
  • es werden dreidimensionale Metalgitter ausgebildet

Ionenbindung

  • Art der chemischen Bindung
  • zwischen entgegengesetzt geladenen Ionen → sehr starke elektrostatische Anziehungskräfte
  • es werden dreidimensionale Gitter ausgebildet
  • Bildung von Ionen:
    1. Abgabe von Elektronen: Mg \to Mg^{2+} +2e^- → Kation 
    2. Aufnhame von Elektronen: \frac{1}{2}O_2 +2e^- \to \frac{1}{2}O^{2-} → Anion

Chemische Formeln, in denen bindende oder freie Elektronenpaare jeweils durch einen Strich (Valenzstrich) gekennzeichnet sind und um die Symbole der Elemente angeordnet sind, bezeichnet man als LEWIS-Formeln
